Three years ago this week

Even then, Larry wasn’t feeling well. He was very ill. In pain. Had very little stamina. Could barely walk. Look closely… it’s evident in his eyes.

But he wasn’t going to miss the family event. The wedding. Sitting on the beach. (Although it killed him that the dialysis catheter prevented getting in the water). The road trip took a lot out of him. He planned every minute, every stop. I made all the medical arrangements and packed up the car— off we went.

We stopped on our way home to see Mt. Airy NC.

… and said we would come back.

Just some memories that resurface with sweet smiles
