296 Four Years

Today is the 23rd of Sivan

on the Hebrew calendar

Exactly four years

since Lawrence closed his eyes

on earth

and opened them

in the presence of Almighty God.

Last night at sunset

observing the tradition he loved

Bill and I lit our Yahrzeit candle

along with

three generations of Larry’s family

over a raucous Zoom meeting.

He would’ve loved the banter –

it was like old times and brought back such great memories…

Here’s to you, Larry!

Always missed,

forever in our hearts,

loved beyond measure,

and eternally grateful for you…
