200 My Day is Complete

My day is complete – Finches are my favorite bird species!

To see not one, but two Purple Finches sharing the thistle feeder this morning made my heart race and I can’t stop smiling.

The photo was taken with my Pentax K10 DSLR camera with a 55-300mm lens.

I wanted so badly to get a new camera this year – the K10 was my wedding gift from Larry in 2007 and new models have much higher resolution. I was looking at upgrading to a K70 model and almost pulled the trigger. Almost.

SO Bill and I talked about options and of course his advice to me was, “If you want it, get it.” He’s such a bad influence…

But ultimately I decided to purchase a couple of lenses and make the decision about the camera upgrade later. The good news is that if I decide to go for the K70 the lenses are interchangeable.

Now as I write this post I see the Amazon truck pulling away and my 18-135mm lens (used) should be on the porch. You know that I’ll be checking it out to see if it works – so look for more pictures!
