Grateful for Friends

“For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; then He openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction. …Lo, all these things worketh God oftentimes with man.

Job 33:14-16, 29

I am no longer confused, thanks to Laura from All the Shoes I Wear and Renee from Heart Tokens, who interpreted my dream basically in the same fashion (confirmation) and at almost the same time. Laura as a response to my blog and Renee via email.

If you didn’t see my post yesterday, you can find it here: 198 I am Confused – Grateful for a Dream?

I am grateful for the validation and confirmation through two Ladies whom I have come to know through blogging.

I am grateful that they followed their hearts and acted on behalf of G-d to soothe my soul.

I am exceedingly grateful that blogging brought them to me and through many caring and sharing interactions I am blessed call both of them friends.

Laura is an amazing writer. Her blog ranges from funny to serious. She tells the stories of her life in ways that I could only dream of, often including mouthwatering recipes and tales that have me laughing until my eyes leak. I was especially touched by Laura’s Good Friday series this year. She’s always one of the first to leave an uplifting comment. I appreciate her love and kindness more than she knows! I jokingly (well maybe not so jokingly) call Laura my sister from another family because we have so much in common.

Renee is not afraid to share her faith through her Heart Tokens or, as she calls them “Letters from G-d”. Even during my darkest days I looked for posts from Renee because they served as a bright shining light to my then-shattered heart. She is a naturally encouraging writer and her love of G-d shines through in each and every post. Renee isn’t afraid to reach out privately when she thinks about someone (like me) or has something to share. I really appreciate all these things about her.

Thank you both for your boldness, Laura and Renee! Many would have been afraid to unabashedly share their thoughts and interpretations of a dream! The two of you are truly bright lights in my world and I am grateful for your friendship.

  1. Ok, so we are all crying here! 😭😭 Lisa, THIS just made my day! I am touched BEYOND words by your gracious words! When I first met you on here, my heart just grieved for you, because I knew what it’s like to lose someone–a lot of someones, actually, even though I’ve never lost a spouse. I want to always be that support team and friend that someone can depend on. I am so grateful to God that He crossed our paths together, to be a help to one another and to love like Jesus–And to use the gifts God has given us, like Joseph did in the Bible. I follow Laura, too! She really is a very caring and awesome person and writer! I’m glad she is a sister to you, from another mister! 😁💜 Thanks again for your kind words, Lisa! They have blessed me for sure! 😍💜
