Grateful for friends

one friend in particular-

who can talk me down

off life’s numerous ledges

by meeting me for dinner

on short notice

when I call and say,

“Shit storm rolling in-

wanna meet for dinner?”

(and a margarita)

and just like that,

she says yes-

even though she has

shit-storms of her own…
