Heaven on Earth

I was out of town for a week!

Little did I know that I would be visiting a piece of heaven on earth…

Although it rained almost every day, my soul was at peace,

I was able to relax!

I saw many beautiful things,

including this live oak tree that was a sapling when Shakespeare was alive,

My first ever Manatee sighting!

I had a surprisingly lovely morning canoe ride with a cute gondolier on a river that was as smooth as glass (a bonus to my historic usually seasick at any waves pattern throughout life).

Well, maybe he paddled and I was just imagining a gondolier…

Not to mention a raucous birthday party to celebrate the 87th birthday of a wonderful man who can run races around many half his age, and excellent pizza with “too old to be a boyfriend” Bill and his family-

We relaxed in all the rain, took many pictures, and ate famous burgers.

We also visited a family farmer’s market, cooked a big dinner, reluctantly said goodbye, and on the way home stopped to see more family.

A wonderful week of laughter and fun with my “too old to be a boyfriend” who is becoming a big part of my life.

I am grateful, thankful, and blessed!

XO Lisa ❤️

  1. Lisa, I can feel your excitement about this trip. Your journey scored a touchdown, grand slam home run, and a slam dunk! I am trying to get organized to make a trip to my native Montana. It’s somewhere under the Big Sky.
