Good morning!
It’s been a long time
since I’ve started the day
Happy
So long that
I hesitate to type it out loud
But today I woke up and
thought, what’s this new thing?
Happy? Seriously?
So here we go:
Grateful for time spent
with an old friend
who actually smiled
for a picture
Great memories made!
Thankful for future plans
and fun times ahead
filled with new experiences.
Blessed with new friends
mysteries to be solved
an adventure or five
a challenge or 10…
When have I ever backed away
from a challenge?
When coming out of darkness
happiness’ light can be blinding
But,
with sunglasses on
and one foot in front
of the other
I
am
ready
to
live again!
