Grief is deceptive

Some days it

allows me to believe

the time has come

for change,

for new life,

for moving on,

for feeling good,

about the future,

for allowing memories

without tears.

Grief pulls out

the sledgehammer

and beats me up

black and blue

when

every memory,

picture,

and thought,

reminds me of

the loss

The periods of

intense grief

will become

further apart

and

the time WILL come

for change,

for new life,

for moving on,

for feeling good

about the future,

for allowing memories

without tears.

But the

love

and the

memories

will always remain.
