Today I am grateful for Practicing Gratitude

“Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Finding something to be grateful for every day can be a life-changing experience! I have been posting gratitudes daily on my blog for the last 64 days and can honestly say that it has changed my outlook on life, and my life itself.

In the beginning, finding something to be grateful for daily was difficult. Some days it was as simple as: my dog, getting out of bed, and air conditioning, but what I didn’t realize at the time, was that by focusing on just those three small things instead of all that was wrong with the world, I was conditioning my brain to look for the positive instead of negative.

“Let gratitude be the pillow upon which you kneel to say your nightly prayer. And let faith be the bridge you build to overcome evil and welcome good.” ― Maya Angelou

Now, two months in, I wake up every morning looking for things to be grateful for.

Practicing gratefulness has increased:

Awareness

Mindfulness

Positivity

Kindness

Peace

and

Love

in my life.

I highly recommend keeping a gratitude journal and practicing gratitude.

“Make a pact with yourself today to not be defined by your past. Sometimes the greatest thing to come out of all your hard work isn’t what you get for it, but what you become for it. Shake things up today! Be You…Be Free…Share.” ― Steve Maraboli,

I am happy!

I am ready to

Rise,

Shine,

and be Completely Alive Again!
