This happened on Tuesday:

My Love’s Explorer pulled into the driveway- it’s new owner was dropping something off. I had Roxie the dog outside on the leash.
She got so excited when she heard the car… ran to the driver’s door and looked inside then around to the back hatch to look there. She walked away with her head down and her tail between her legs. When we went inside she took a spot by the front door, waiting, again.
I felt so bad for her. She was so 😔 sad.
I was doing relatively okay until I saw her reaction… felt bad for not leaving her inside. I really didn’t think that she would still associate my Love with the car that he hadn’t driven since last year.
I had a big ugly cry… the Tidal wave of grief.
