“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”

― Rumi

I have been thinking a lot lately

(I know it’s dangerous)

But seriously,

I’ve been thinking about how difficult it is to change after 62 trips around the sun…

However, change is possible regardless of age!

“It’s only after you’ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.”

Roy T. Bennett

I have a tendency to be

short and to the point.

People who know me well

are aware…

But some

perceive this as harsh

and others

take offense.

It’s been on my heart

that I need to show love

Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.

Ephesians 4:2

to everyone

not just those who like me –

but also those who

do not

Happy are those who find wisdom, and those who get understanding

Proverbs 3:13

Sometimes love shows itself

by being cognizant

of how I may be coming across

in email

text messages

and even when speaking.

Perhaps take an extra moment to add a wish for a nice day at the end of an email or an emoji to a text…

I don’t know the whole solution

but I do believe

that when God alerts me to something

coaching me to change

He will surely guide me

to the correct solution.

Of that I am sure!

Here’s to change –

from the inside out!

XO Lisa ❤️

  1. Thank you Lisa for sharing this testament. I’ve stepped away from blogging of late. Stepping back in today with an awareness of God’s grace in shaping my peace. He’s rebuilding my inner self to move forward. Blessings to you.
