Well hello little badass calendar…

One thing that I have learned in the past 18 months:
It’s easier to just be me
Myself
Unapologetically Real
All out there
Letting my
weird
depraved
sometimes dark
mostly light
occasionally sad
often happy
regularly opinionated self
shine brightly.
Whether I am
liked
loved
appreciated
followed
commented on
or blocked,
I don’t really give one flying fuck.
I would rather be authentically myself than try to be anyone else in the world.
I cannot be anyone but the person G-d made me to be.
I am done hiding,
past trying to please others,
will never accept anything less than I deserve.
There’s something about reaching the ripe age of 60 that changed my outlook on life.
I doubt that I will live to be 120, so I am definitely in the last half of the span.
Why not live the rest of my days as me?
If I want to be eccentric? Why not?
Totally who I am? Already there!
Goes for it fully? Sounds perfect to me!
Believes anything is possible? Precisely!
Excited to be on the adventure of spinning around on this planet? Bring it on!
Allows themselves to look stupid? I have that one perfected!
To fail, succeed, be rich, and generous? Whatever comes will be what’s meant to be.
To be, do, and have the experiences that make me feel like the most me!
What a marvelous way to live my life!
I wish I had learned this secret, say, in my 20s or 30s, 40s or 50s.
Take it from someone who has experienced many highs and lows of life: Don’t wait until you’re on the second half of life to learn this lesson.
Don’t wait until your body starts to fall apart to start living like there’s no tomorrow.
Don’t wait until you’ve seen the gates of hell and stood at the edge of the abyss.
Don’t wait until you’ve burned to the ground and arisen from the ashes a new person.
Create a new you today!
Appreciate your life today, even if you don’t like it so much.
Appreciate yourself today, find things that you love about yourself and build on them. Improve the things you don’t like about yourself without beating yourself up.
In a bad relationship? Get out.
In a lukewarm relationship? Make it hot.
In a great relationship? Make sure it stays that way!
Do you have a relationship with G-d? If not – get one.
Have you ‘lost’ a loved one? Find them. Decide where they are for yourself.
Are you grieving? Cry, mourn, wail, for as long as you need to.
Are you upset about the state of the world? If you can’t change it, don’t worry about it… G-d is ultimately in control.
Whatever you decide to do,
Do it NOW!
Tomorrow may be too late…
XO Lisa ❤️ living a gratitude filled life!
