Musings Badassery 8/6

Well hello little badass calendar!

Today’s message is something I can get behind 100%!

“Why are you trying so hard to fit in when you were born to stand out?”

― Ian Wallace

“Fitting in” has never been one of my strong points… ever.

“You are not an option, a choice or a soft place to land after a long battle. You were meant to be the one. If you can wrap yourself around the idea that you are something incredible, then you will stop excusing behavior that rapes your very soul. You were never meant to teach someone to love you. You were meant to be loved.”

― Shannon L. Alder

I have always been a rebel!

“The greatest rebellion is loving yourself in a world trying to sabotage your light.”

― Nikki Rowe

When I love myself, I will:

~ Not accept anything but love ~ from anyone

“If you hate me for being me, then I Love you for leaving me!”

― Somya Kedia

~ Love others the right way

“But how could you love another soul the right way, if you’ve spent your whole life loving yourself in all the wrong ways…”

― Samiha Totanji

~ But leave time for myself

“Sometimes we are so generous with our love, so willing to give it all away, we leave nothing behind for ourselves.”

― Michael Faudet

~ Live in peace

“To calm your anxious mind, fear not and love yourself without judgement.”
― Debasish Mridha

~ Encourage myself

“Those who mistrust their own abilities are being too wicked to themselves, discouraging themselves from doing what they should have been excelling in. If you are good at discouraging yourself, you can’t be a good leader because leadership is built on inspiring others to face challenges.”

― Israelmore Ayivor

~ Not stress about what others think of me

“You have to stop worrying about whether people like you. Some people don’t even like themselves.”

― Andrena Sawyer

~Take no crap ~ from anyone.

~ Accept others as they are

“Once we stop asking ourselves to be happy or perfect or anything else other than what is simply true for us in the moment, we can more easily stop asking the same of others as well.”

― Stephanie Rutt

~ Live my best life

“Stop worrying about and believing in what other people think of you, do not let their opinions define who you are because all of us are amazing in our own ways.”

― Nyki Mack

~ Be my authentic self

“Why escape your intended purpose by copying and trying to be someone else? You will discover who you were meant to be only after you have shown confidence being yourself.”

― Suzy Kassem

~ Be abbeynormal and celebrate it!

“The abnormal ones stands out. Thankfully I’m abnormal.”

― Marion Bekoe

~ Be a badass!

“But still she stood, ready to get back at it. Badass and admirable.”

― Cristin Harber

… and many more

I do like the way you have framed this specific concern and it does present us a lot of fodder for consideration. However, because of just what I have observed, I just wish as the actual feed-back pack on that people keep on issue and not start upon a tirade of some other news of the day. Still, thank you for this outstanding piece and although I do not necessarily agree with it in totality, I regard the perspective.
