Today I am grateful for sleeping until 9:30 AM.
As I write, I’m sitting on the front porch watching Roxie the dog standing sentinel over the yard.
Occasionally, she will bolt off the porch to chase a chipmunk. Then she stands at the bottom of the steps at high alert, waiting to see if the dreaded beast will come back.
Last week she managed to catch a little black mouse that was running across the steps. I heard a yelp, a squeak, and then I saw said mouse fly through the air higher than the steps and disappear.
I am grateful for entertainment. most days, it’s better than watching a movie.
I’m also grateful for quiet.
My mind is quiet.
Relaxed.
It’s a red-letter day.
The birds are singing and the wind is gently blowing the wind chimes as they play their tune.
For once, I’m not in a hurry to do anything.
I wish you an unhurried, quiet, relaxed day.
