Today on my morning walk
through a nearby park
glimpsed from a distance
double-take, could it be?
I finally saw my second dragonfly
halfway around the world
It took me by surprise –
certainly not in season-
everyone else’s message thing-
not mine,
or perhaps saving it for
just the right time
in the right place
to tell me that
I’m finally on the right road
for a reason
and for this season…
