Glimmers
of light
replacing darkness
as I finally emerge
signifying healing
turning pages
perhaps new books
to discover-
adventure novels
or mysteries to solve
a library full
of possibilities
for
this renewed life
all my own…
I should get
a new pair of reading glasses
so I won’t miss a minute
and a map to avoid getting lost
or heading back into
the comfortable forest…
