Happy V Day

Happy Valentines Day

Although I haven’t observed the day

since 2004 and my sister’s funeral-

Today I salute unconditional love-

from parents, siblings, children,

grandchildren, fur babies, friends,

and, if one is lucky enough,

a soul mate

(for lack of a better term).

If you have or have had

the privilege of

receiving unconditional love

from one or more,

hang on,

practice generous reciprocity,

and recognize that you

are indeed blessed!

For in the end,

only love remains.
