Power of Love III

The sheer Power of being loved

and loving

totally, completely,

without reservation,

or fear of rejection,

is that one can feel

safe to be oneself.

If others do not like it,

move on.

Truthfully, I always

had that attitude of

“If you don’t like it, move on.”

But before it came from

a place of hurt and fear.

Now it arises

from a place of confidence-

of securely knowing who I am.

I know the desires of my heart

I am not afraid anymore

I am no longer broken

But

I know how I should be treated

I know what I will not accept

I know that I am worthy.

I spent so much of my life

beating myself down

and blaming myself

because I allowed abuse

that I will never,

ever allow another human to

do that to me again-

in any way, shape, or form.

That is the Power of Love

the healing in being loved

the legacy of my Love

that I will carry with me

always

and

forever.
