292 Never Stop

I am a bad blogger

well, not really… depends on the definition of “bad” being referred to

If the definition is

“Doesn’t blog on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis despite reminders,”

or

“I started writing this blog post 13 days ago and finally finished it,”

then yes!

But if defined

“Busier than normal with life in general!” –

it would be accurate!

We are on batch 20 of freeze drying…

Future batches include Brussels Sprouts (ick)

and peppers

frozen and in the freezer waiting to go on trays.

Last night I made a chicken pot pie.

Disclaimer, I am not a pie baker – that was my grandma…

She would’ve shook her head at this pie,

I thought I heard her tisk, tisk, tisk, in my head.

But although not perfect, the pie tasted great and there is some in the freezer in preparation to be freeze dried.

The Vegetable Soup was amazing and waiting it’s turn in the freeze dryer!

Yesterday was National Son’s day.

I missed it (of course)

But this morning I got on social to wish my son a happy yesterday.

I even created pics for the occasion!

So happy late Son’s day Shawn! I love you!

Shawn posted happy Son day to his mini-me

and I finally got a picture of my grandson following his papa up on the roof…

in one croc and one boot!

That story has made me laugh so many times…

Shawn’s mini-me

Truthfully, I can stay busy with life,

work,

preparing for the worst while still hoping for the best,

but what has been on my mind the most for some time is

prayer.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33

An overwhelming,

nearly constant

need

to

pray.

Whenever I have a moment of silence in the workday

I pray.

Whenever a friend or family member crosses my mind

I say a prayer.

I see the world around me imploding

and pray.

Death rates skyrocketing

pray.

Wickedness

more prayers.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Isaiah 26:3

I cannot control

the government,

politics,

shortages,

prices,

economy,

or anything else that is happening in the world.

But

I

can

pray…

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”

Psalm 94:19

This attitude of prayer has brought

peace

to my questioning mind

but most importantly,

my heart

is not worried for the future.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4:6-8

Last weekend we went to see “The Jesus Revolution”

Bill and I both were teary-eyed.

It brought back memories for me of the early to mid 70s hanging out in my home town.

There was a youth building downtown where the Spirit of the Lord was palpable.

I wish I could remember the name, but it really doesn’t matter.

I remember the music, feelings, acceptance, and most importantly, the Spirit of the Lord moving in my heart and our little town.

I pray for youth of today to have the same experience and closeness to God.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14

We all need a move in this land and the world by the Holy Spirit to detoxify the hearts and minds of the people before it’s too late.

Nobody is safe from the depravity of the world without Jesus.

“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”

Romans 8:31

Please join me in

prayer…

XO Lisa ❤️
