Good Sunday Morning!
I am sitting on my side porch, taking a break from chores.
Listening to the birds singing,
watching the hummingbirds and finches come to the feeders,
and gazing at the day lilies that are reaching for the sky.
This is my happy place in the early morning hours.
I am thinking about my SO who will be flying in the clouds soon – one step closer to his goal!
Soaring in the sky is his happy place and he’s so close to obtaining his coveted private pilot license!
I’m just saying that I have a lot of admiration for that man pictured above! I helped him study a little bit for the written test and it’s harder than any test I have ever taken! Passing that test was badass!
I guess navigation, math, wind shear, take offs, and landings just aren’t in my wheelhouse.
For goodness sake, I still prefer to use a Garmin to navigate and routinely miss my exits on the freeways. Landmarks are still my favorite way to remember where I am…
I don’t think second cloud ahead and turn right would work in the sky!
But I cannot wait until Bill reaches his goal so I can join him in his happy place (barf bags in tow) to see with my own eyes the grandeur of the sky!
