Grateful Gratitude Series memories

Gratitude 190 Memories

The only reason I am still on Facebook or any social media for that matter is to interact with friends and see the memories that pop up.

Today’s memories were spectacular!

In 2012 the Food Network show “Great Food Truck Race” came to Cleveland. Larry and I spent the weekend following social media and chasing the food trucks around town. He was a true foodie!

Here was my post from this day in 2012: “Spent a fun-filled day (and Friday evening) with hubby Lawrence running around Cleveland eating from the three finalists’ food trucks in The Great Food Truck Race Season Three. Larry liked Seoul Sausage’s food the best- their Clevelander burger is the stuff that dreams are made of! I liked the fact that one of the team members took our orders outside the truck and was very friendly. Nonna’s Kitchenette was great- the rice balls were very tasty. Pop A Waffle’s guys had the best personalities- the food was very filling with large portions. Their service was also the fastest. If we had eaten from their truck first we wouldn’t have been able to visit the others! Pics are posted! I haven’t had this much fun in a long time!”

I love it when memories of fun times from before Larry was so sick pop up in my FB feed.

Another memory popped up from 2019 – my niece Shannon and her husband Kevin’s wedding in Fernandina Beach, Florida. We stayed in one big house (except the bride and groom) and had a blast at the beach!

That trip was hard on Larry because it included daily dialysis, but he wouldn’t have missed it for the world.

The wedding on the beach was beautiful! Shannon’s tributes to her Mom (my sister Dana) and both sets of grandparents were amazing. We all felt their presence there with us.

Memories… sweet if one focuses on the good.

I choose to focus on good!

Therefore, I am grateful!

XO Lisa ❤️
