Today I am grateful for Fall
Fall is in full swing
I have come to love the season of fall
Comfortable days
Chilly nights
The definitive feeling that change is coming
trees are shedding their leaves
squirrels are filling their larders
life is a bit more laid back
and sleep cycles face adjustment
as darkness comes earlier day after day.
Soon the old year will be on its way out.
Fall precedes
the period of cold
when darkness comes early
and one wants nothing more than to hibernate to sleep off the past
(at least in this part of the planet).
Next the promise of
New life
Renewal
Growth
and restoration.
As humans change, grow, regenerate, and reinvent themselves, so does the earth.
I am grateful for Fall.
