Well hello little badass calendar

My reality has been focused on the unseen since childhood

Literally

For who can see G-d?

I can’t see G-d in a physical sense, true.

But if I shift my perception

from my mind to my heart

I am able to see

the footprints of G-d all around me.

In the beauty of nature throughout

the changing of the seasons,

the leaves rustling in the trees,

the beauty

the first breath of my children,

the eyes of my grandchildren,

the kindness of my friends,

the consistency of the sunrise

and sunset.

I hear G-d in majestic thunderstorms.

In music:

from the songs of the birds,

to lilting classical,

uplifting gospel,

or pounding heavy metal.

I feel G-d near

when I am sad,

alone,

or still.

I see G-d’s will in my life

through those who I come across,

and those who disappear.

Many times I have felt

carried,

cradled,

and comforted

by G-d’s unending love.

Whatever comes my way

happiness, grief, mourning,

love, or loss.

Whatever comes my way

all I need to do is look up

away from myself,

shift my perception,

alter my reality,

and remember

that the evidence of G-d

is all around

and H- is close by.

Me.

You.

Everyone.
