Today I am grateful for humor.
The sarcastic, macabre, grain of truth, laugh-till-you-cry, humor that Lawrence and I shared.
Sometimes I had a comeback that made him laugh until his stomach hurt, but most of the time it was me laughing with him.
I miss the laughter that diffused even the darkest of times.
I miss his sharp wit.
Most of all, I miss him.
“He was born with a gift of laughter and a sense that the world was mad.”
— Rafael Sabatini, Scaramouche (Scaramouche, #1)

I am able to smile, and even chuckle at memories now… but sometimes my eyes leak a bit, and that’s okay.
