especially today

when I didn’t want to cry

I found these two pictures

while going through a box

then meltdown in puddles…

Happy memories

of many family members

and my Love

gone too soon for me

but who am I to

make that statement

when I am not in control

of life and death?

Memories of

family events

with everyone present

the birth of a grandchild

my Love when he was healthy

erasing last day memories

and bringing back great

love swelling in my heart

reminding me that

“The risk of love is loss”

and remembering

great happiness

that resulted in tears today

is still better

than never having loved.
