Today
30 days since
Your burial

The traditional Jewish
Mourning period
For one’s spouse
Is over

But I know
You will always be
With me.
 
I know that You know
But I took off our rings today
They were making me too sad
Besides
They were only
An outward manifestation
Of our love
That I will
Forever hold
In my heart

I will
Be strong

I will
Move forward

One step at a time
One hour at a time
Sometimes
One second at a time

I will cry
I will laugh
I will rejoice in your blessed memory
I will continue to mourn

Until
I
See You Again
My Love
