New year gives us an opportunity and power to begin the magical first day of the rest of our lives.

Happy first day of 2022

At the stroke of midnight were on the road home from a week in Florida. We contemplated breaking up the 15 hour drive (17.5 with stops) by staying over, but with each mile north the yearning to get home increased exponentially.

The trip was amazing!

Our adventure started by spending the eve of Christmas Eve and the 24th with the grandlittles, son, and daughter-in-love.

Christmas Eve 2021

After fun, a flurry of gift unwrapping, playing, and breakfast, we headed south!

We visited the St. Marks lighthouse, took a long boat ride, and I found my new slogan

“Idle Speed, No Wake”

to remind me to take time to appreciate the little things and be kind.

FL 2021

The usual Florida treats: Family memories, friends, Whataburger, Bill’s childhood treats (ick from me), relaxation, a trip to the huge live oak tree in Tallahassee, and a rock found at the base.

The weather was spectacular, it was awesome spending time with family, but it’s good to be home!

As the old year retires and a new one is born, we commit into the hands of our Creator the happenings of the past year and ask for direction and guidance in the new one. May He grant us His grace, His tranquility and His wisdom!

Amen!

Wishing all who read this a New Year filled with goals reached, love realized, and abundant blessings.

XO Lisa ❤️
