Well hello little badass calendar!

Wow, faith.
I was looking for a quote to add to this badass calendar’s watered-down, pie-in-the-sky missive on faith, when I came upon this quote:
“Sometimes God allows what he hates to accomplish what he loves.”
― Joni Eareckson Tada, The God I Love
I remembered reading about Joni Eareckson Tada in the 1970s, reading her book, and being impressed with her faithful strength.
Many blame G-d when
tragedy strikes,
loved ones die,
events do not turn out the way we choose,
politicians are out for personal gain,
pandemics are used to control the masses,
the world turns towards an evil majority,
children are slain by parents and trafficked like chattel,
and
individuals and families are shattered by all the above.

We are at a crossroads of faith in our lives.
Are we going to choose to
believe in G-d,
have faith that H- is in control and
“allow(ing) what H- hates to accomplish what H- loves?”
Or
are we going to allow ourselves to
sink into the bottomless pit
of unbeliever’s despair,
agonizing about the future?
Standing at this crossroads,
I choose to believe!
What do you choose?
XO Lisa
The image of the crossroads as well as the message from Joni Eareckson Tada says so much about how our faith molds tomorrow’s hope. Thanks for sharing Lisa!
