Grateful for a “Normal” day!

… so grateful that during this time of virus pandemonium, seemingly unable to live the life I choose, being stuck in my own little abode, feeling alone, and sad at times,

I had a normal day yesterday!

My friend Nikki and I masked up and went to a socially distanced craft fair!

In the process, added a dragonfly sculpture and a flying pig — yes, a flying pig, to my daylily garden.

Then we had lunch, went shopping for sweaters at a cool thrift store, toured Portage Lakes, and stopped at a local ice cream shop.

Spending time with good friends is always amazing and a sure pick-me-up-out-of-the-doldrums!

I will admit that all this while wearing masks was somewhat taxing, but much better than staying home! I am so happy that I got out!

And fun! Such fun! Covid be damned! I plan on getting out (even if I must wear the blasted mask) and having more fun in the future!

In this topsy-turvy world, I wouldn’t be surprised to see flying pigs!

“”Thinking again?” the Duchess asked, with another dig of her sharp little chin.

“I’ve a right to think,” said Alice sharply, for she was beginning to feel a little worried.

“Just about as much right,” said the Duchess, “as pigs have to fly …””

Lewis Carroll Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland

As government tries to keep individual citizens under its thumb and take away rights,

I will continue to

think,

not be a sheeple,

resist running over the cliff with the lemmings,

and watch out for flying pigs!

  1. A flying pig! Your discovery shares a beautiful creation. In Cincinnati, there is an annual marathon called the Flying Pig. I imagine it has been cancelled (date is next month).
