Was doing great
then BOOM
the roller coaster turned on
and suddenly it’s up and down,
head bobbing,
hanging on for dear life,
all-out screaming,
crying again.
The yahrzeit reminder for my Love
came in the mail.
One year in the Jewish calendar
the twenty-third of Sivan
June 15th this year
will mark the day
my world stood still.
A candle will be lit,
prayer said,
because it was his tradition.
However, my heart will hold
many reminders
of his love and his presence
forever…
