I don’t have a choice

but to be ready.

But then the question becomes:

“Ready for what?”

How about ready

for whatever life

has in store for me

happiness

grief

hope

sadness

victory

defeat

sharing my heart

with someone strong enough

to take me on-

(oh boy- that was interesting,

but I’ll leave it here)…

Whatever

Whomever

Comes

I will be
