I stopped practicing self-flagellation long ago.

Accept me as I am, or not at all.

Trust me, I know my areas that need improvement.

Don’t drop hints.

Don’t talk about others who have the same shortcomings.

Don’t bother, it will just piss me off.

Don’t go there.

Don’t even.

Accept me as I accept you–

just as you are,

or not at all.

The only person on earth that I will change for is me — I’ve been down that road and it always ends in disaster.

The only torture I might participate in is the fun kind…
