Gratitude Day 126

Today I am grateful for milestones

My oldest grandson Jonathan had his Bar Mitzvah on Saturday.

Many family had planned to gather to witness the ceremony and the culmination of Jonathan’s hard work and preparation. However, COVID made large gatherings an impossibility.

Family members and friends, including me, AKA Nana Lisa, watched on ZOOM and joined the Facebook live celebration later in the evening.

Jonathan did an excellent job with his Torah reading and speech.

The party was full of singing, video greetings, appearances from famous individuals, plenty of favorite Beatles songs, and trivia questions. We got to see and hear Jonathan’s singing debut!

Of course, Nana Lisa cried her way through. I imagined Grandpa Larry beaming with pride and remembered the conversations we had about Jonathan’s Bar Mitzvah. How I was to make sure JJ received his Tallis, Yamaka, and photo album. I did as he asked.

Another milestone passed.

My wonderful grandson is now a bar mitzvah.

Mazel Tov!

XO Nana Lisa ❤️
