Gratitude Series Moving Forward Serenity

Musings More Gratitude IV

I am grateful for

my serenity haven

my safe place

my little room

that is me.

Put together

with items

old from the past

and new from my present

with eyes looking forward

and new things to be added

in the future.

Never looking too far forward,

lest I miss the gifts of today.

A little fountain reminds me of one of my favorite hymns…

“Come, thou Fount of every blessing,

tune my heart to sing thy grace;

streams of mercy, never ceasing,

call for songs of loudest praise.

Teach me some melodious sonnet,

sung by flaming tongues above.

Yes Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,

mount of thy redeeming love.”

— Robert Robertson 1735-1790

  1. Lisa, your words took me back to this special hymn, and I found a reverent moment witnessing the entire song. Thanks for sharing God’s peace.
