Badass Moving Forward

Well hello little badass calendar!

No copyright infringement intended

I try to avoid crabs at all costs

not only the “people who will drag you down to their level” crabs,

but also the little critter crabs that can stick to the nether-regions (I know, bad image to place in the mind, but true…).

I do agree with the little badass calendar’s message today.

Many individuals don’t want to see others succeed, move up, or move on. It is frightening when they don’t have the motivation.

Others cheer people on, providing motivation and support.

I know which category the people fall into who are in my life from experience.

The second category of people are who I prefer to be around.

My Aunt Pat was my biggest supporter in that second category. Today is her birthday – the first with her not present here on earth. She prayed for me daily – sometimes all day, supported me like no other after the death of my Love. Aunt Pat always lifted me up and told me how wonderful I was. I walked away from every conversation feeling invincible.

This morning I reached for my phone to call her… it was just one of those grief wave moments that I have learned to ride.

My lesson from my Aunt is in line with the little badass calendar today. It seems like it came from her:

  1. Don’t be a crab – help others who are trying to improve themselves.

2. Always show support

3. Lift others up

4. Pray without ceasing.

I am so grateful that I had Aunt Pat’s support for a very long time.

My, how I miss her.

XO Lisa ❤️ living a gratitude filled life!

  1. Your Aunt Pat sounded like a very beautiful person, inside and out! She is so much a big part of you. Always will be, and she taught you well. You seem to me to be just like her, from how you describe her, beautiful inside and out. Sorry for your loss. Living without our loved ones’ actual presence in our lives is so hard. Missing them with everything within us is a part of our grief. Praying for you today my sweet friend that your heart will be comforted. 🤗
