Perhaps it’s the new haircut,

perhaps I am just ready,

perhaps healing

has commenced,

but I have a new (old)

attitude back.

It goes something like this:

“Balls up, let’s go—

get on with life,

move forward

make the best of it,

get up!

Cry when you want to,

need to,

cherish the memories

with gratitude,

linger awhile,

never forget,

find your purpose,

and live your best life!”

This attitude may be displeasing to some, a little forward to others, perhaps downright harsh. Some may say ballsy. I’ve been accused of all those things earlier in life, and that’s okay.

It’s time.

Time for me.
