Grateful new life

I Begin Again

“Peace is not something you wish for, it is something you make, something you are, something you do, and something you give away. ”

― Robert Fulghum

I begin a new life

while being a compilation of every day that has passed before.

I see perfect joy

in the innocent faces and laughter of my grandchildren

and long to be innocent again…

I thirst for adventure

like a youth setting out for the first time adulting.

I am not young

but I don’t feel as old as the calendar indicates.

I look behind

only to reflect on how far I have come.

I have a goal

to live the rest of my life with passion and joy.

I am positive

that life is what I make of it.

I crave true friendship

in a world full of negativity and backbiting.

My soul knows

that peace comes from within and I must make changes.

But I realize

that while necessary, change can be hard.

However, growth requires

letting go when appropriate and looking forward to the future.

My heart explodes

with joy of new beginnings that lie ahead.

Because new beginnings, joy, innocence, adventure, reflection, passion, positivity, friendship, letting go, and looking toward the future, are the only ways that I will find the peace that my soul craves.

  3. God’s grace and peace will continue to light the way! When I look at my age (nearly 65, hello Medicare), the calendar just doesn’t get it. Who added all of these pages without checking in with me?
