Fire Grateful Lessons Soul

Through the Fire

“Darling, you’re not falling apart. You’re getting rid of the pieces that no longer serve your purpose, this is a surgery of the spirit, and it can be painful as hell.”

Kalen Dion

Walking through life can be a minefield

so many things can derail the spirit.

Anxiety,

depression,

grief,

worry,

chronic illness,

economic woes,

family difficulties,

to name a few…

Many times,

the situations that derailed my spirit

caused me to question

my faith,

place in this world,

if the trials were worth the struggle.

At times it would have been easier

to just give up.

While wrestling

with many challenges

I felt as though I was

being tested

refined

walking through fires

to be made anew

born again from the ashes

of grief

and disappointments,

whether big or small,

I called out to G-d for help

to change the situation.

In retrospect,

sometimes I asked G-d

for things

that would not have been

in the best interests of all involved.

Throughout this process of living, walking through fire, burning to the ground, and rising anew from the ashes, I have learned a few lessons:

I have learned

to trust that G-d sees all.

Past, present, and future.

I have learned

not to worry about things

that are beyond my control.

I have learned

that this world

is not my home

I have learned

that regardless of what happens

it is for my good.

I have learned

that my prayers will not

change the will of G-d

for H-s plans are not always my own.

I have learned

keep my eyes on eternity

and not on this world.

I have learned

to ask for nothing but

G-d’s will in my life.

I have learned

to trust

in G-d’s timing

I have learned

that when things do not

turn out exactly as I want

there is always a lesson to be learned.

I am grateful that

It is well with my soul…

XO Lisa ❤️
