Living in Abundance

“Even the smallest shift in perspective can bring about the greatest healing.”

― Joshua Kai, The Quantum Prayer: An Inspiring Guide to Love, Healing, and Creating the Best Life Possible

A question posed: “What is grief teaching you today? Who are you becoming?” – Tom Zuba

Do I want happy memories

or focus on only sad?

Do I want to live

in freedom of life

or shackles of death?

Would I rather be

transformed by peace

or possessed by pain?

Will I choose abundance,

or scarcity?

On paper,

it seems like an easy choice.

In reality,

a grieving soul

goes back and forth

between happy, sad,

life, death,

peace, and pain.

One definition of abundance at Dictionary.com is: “overflowing fullness: abundance of the heart.”

Just the thought of abundance

overflowing fullness

living in

abundance of the heart

causes a swelling desire

to move away

from sadness,

death, and pain

to instead focus on

happiness, life,

and peace.

My love, your love, our loves,

he, she, they

would want us

to be happy, not sad –

to live in abundance of the heart.

From now on

I am making a conscious effort

to choose peace,

life, happiness,

and abundance

for my future

for my sanity

for my heart.

What choice will you make?

  1. Lisa, I like the strength of the word “abundance.” When we allow our hearts to fill with a trickle of God’s love, we will receive an abundance of peace, happiness, and love.
